CO2 Feed System
When dissolved in water carbon-dioxide gas forms a mild acid compound that can be safely fed as a pH control chemical and used in conjunction with liquid chlorine. Utilizing this system can eliminate the handling of dangerous acids. Because of its relative weakness as an acid, the lowest pH that can be achieved is 6.8, even under an over-feed situation. (CO2 increases total alkalinity in the water and is not recommended for pools were high alkalinity is a problem as bicarbonate scale can form.)
